Lyndon man arrested for DUI after negligent driving, police say

say a 34-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence following an incident in Lyndon on November 15, 2025. Authorities responded to reports of an intoxicated male who had reportedly left the scene in a vehicle, driving erratically.

According to police reports, Troopers located Matthew Mitchell and conducted an investigation that confirmed he was operating his vehicle while impaired. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks. Mitchell was released on a citation after the arrest.

Mitchell has been charged with DUI, and he is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on December 1, 2025, at 8:30 AM. The charges against him are allegations at this stage, and all court dates and charges may be subject to change as the legal process unfolds.
