According to police reports, a 56-year-old man has been charged with driving under the influence and criminally driving with a suspended license following an incident on October 25, 2025. Vermont State Police say Troopers were dispatched to the I-89 North Exit 17 off ramp in Colchester around 8:14 PM for a report of a minor motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, police identified the driver as Josef Laibach, who displayed several signs of impairment. A query revealed that Laibach was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. After being screened by Troopers, he was arrested and taken to the Williston Barracks for processing. He was later released with a citation.
