Vermont State Police say a 24-year-old woman from Dover was arrested early Sunday morning after her vehicle was found in an embankment on East Road in Shaftsbury. The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on November 18, 2025, when troopers responded to a report regarding the vehicle’s location.

According to police, Alicia Maisonet was identified as the driver at the scene. Subsequent investigations indicated that she had been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Maisonet was taken into custody and transported to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing. She has been charged with negligent operation and refusal to submit to a breath test.

Maisonet is scheduled to appear in Bennington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on December 8, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. These charges are allegations, and her legal situation may evolve as the case progresses.
