According to police reports, a retail theft incident at Morrison Feed Bag in St. Johnsbury led to the arrest of two individuals on March 20, 2026. Vermont State Police say that 44-year-old Michelle Vance and 50-year-old Scott Keithan, both from Lyndon, were identified through security footage after the store sought public assistance via social media.
On March 21, police received tips that helped locate the suspects’ vehicle at a gas station on Portland Street. Officers subsequently found both individuals at a nearby residence. Vance was arrested on a Vermont Parole Board warrant and was held without bail. Keithan was charged with retail theft as well as outstanding warrants for driving under the influence and providing false information to law enforcement.
Both suspects were transported to the Northeast Correctional Complex. Vance is scheduled to appear in Windham Superior Court on March 23, 2026, while Keithan is set for hearings that day and again on April 13, 2026, in Caledonia Superior Court. The charges against both individuals are allegations at this stage, and the legal proceedings may evolve as the cases progress.
