Vermont State Police say a 23-year-old Newport Center resident was arrested on charges of aggravated domestic assault and unlawful restraint following an incident in Troy. Police responded to a family disturbance on Searles Road at approximately 10:07 PM on October 30, 2023, where they discovered that Ethan Metivier had allegedly assaulted a household member.

According to the report, Metivier was taken into custody and processed at the Derby Barracks. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bail at the Northern State Correctional Facility.
