Vermont State Police say a 22-year-old woman from Danville was arrested late on April 3, 2026, for allegedly driving under the influence on Interstate 89 near Exit 4 in Randolph. Authorities were alerted to a wrong-way driver heading south in the northbound lane.
According to police reports, when officers arrived, they observed the vehicle make an illegal U-turn for emergency vehicles and proceed northbound. Troopers conducted a stop and detected signs of impairment in the driver, identified as Genevieve Herrin. She was subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, negligent operation, and providing false information to law enforcement. Herrin was processed at the Royalton Barracks and released on a citation.
