Vermont State Police say a traffic stop on Vermont Route 100 in North Hyde Park on March 15 led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man suspected of driving under the influence. Troopers from the Williston Barracks noticed a vehicle traveling at approximately 58 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone.
According to police, the driver was identified as Ethan W. Carter of Morrisville. During the stop, officers observed signs of impairment, prompting them to take Carter into custody on suspicion of DUI-Drug. He was then transported to the Morristown Police Department for processing before receiving a citation to appear in court.
Carter is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court – Criminal Division on June 3, 2026, at 2:30 PM.
