According to police reports, a Lunenburg man has been charged with multiple offenses following an incident involving a municipal fire truck. Vermont State Police say that on April 17, 2026, at approximately 10:49 PM, they were informed by the Lunenburg Fire Department about a civilian who entered a fire truck while it was at the scene of an illegal burn on Walker Pit Road. The individual, later identified as Kaiden Wildenstein, 20, allegedly moved the truck down the road before fleeing the scene.

Police located Wildenstein on April 19, 2026, and issued him a citation for operation without the consent of the owner and unlawful trespass into a motor vehicle, according to the report. He is scheduled to appear in Essex County Superior Court – Criminal Division on June 16, 2026, at 8:30 AM.

These charges are allegations, and as the case progresses, the court date and charges may change. Wildenstein’s legal status remains pending until the court hearing.
