Based on:

WATERBURY, Vt. — Vermont State Police have cited Michael McElroy, 33, of Barre, with DUI, burglary and other charges after early-morning break-ins at two gas stations in Waterbury and Northfield on May 29, police say.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to a reported break-in at the Cumberland Farms on Waterbury-Stowe Road in Waterbury at about 3:50 a.m., police say. While there, they learned of a second break-in underway at the South Village Mobil on Route 12 in Northfield and identified a gray Ford F-150 linked to both, which they located a short time later.

McElroy is charged with aggravated operation without the owner’s consent, DUI, criminal driving with a suspended license, burglary, and lewd and lascivious conduct, police say. He was scheduled to appear in the Criminal Division of Washington County Superior Court on May 29 at 12:30 p.m.

The charges are allegations, and McElroy is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
