NORTH BENNINGTON, Vt. — Vermont State Police have cited Luther A. Boateng, 21, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, for DUI-drugs after a traffic stop on Mechanic Street in North Bennington late on June 14, police say.
Troopers say they saw a vehicle with a defective headlight driving erratically in the middle of the road at about 11:59 p.m. and stopped it, police say. Boateng was suspected of driving under the influence of drugs and processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks before being cited.
Boateng is scheduled to appear in the Bennington Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court on Aug. 10 at 8:30 a.m. The charge is an allegation, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
