Vermont State Police say a traffic stop on November 8, 2025, in Clarendon led to the arrest of a 32-year-old woman from Wallingford, Vermont, for operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license.

According to the report, Troopers from the Rutland Barracks initiated the stop after observing a traffic violation. During the investigation, they discovered that Samantha J. Emrick was driving with a suspended license and had an active warrant for her arrest due to a failure to appear in court, which required a $100 bail. Following her arrest, Emrick was taken to the Rutland Barracks for processing before being transported to the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
