Vermont State Police say a 36-year-old Hartland resident was arrested for driving under the influence following a vehicle crash on Interstate 91. The incident occurred on May 2, 2026, at approximately 10:34 PM, near mile marker 63 in Hartland.

According to the report, police were alerted to a vehicle that had struck the median. Officers located Ross Gilbert walking near mile marker 61, where he exhibited signs of impairment. After further investigation, Gilbert was charged with DUI and taken to Hartford Police Department for processing. He was subsequently issued a citation and released.

According to police, Gilbert is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on July 21, 2026, at 8:30 AM.
