According to police reports, a 35-year-old woman from Morristown was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop in Eden on April 19, 2026. Vermont State Police say that at approximately 10:03 PM, troopers conducting speed enforcement on Vermont Route 100 near Blakeville Road observed a vehicle exceeding the 50 mph speed limit, registering 68 mph on their RADAR.

After initiating the stop, officers identified Jasmyn Nichols as the driver. During the interaction, indicators of impairment were noted, leading to her arrest on suspicion of DUI. Nichols was taken to the Morristown Police Department for processing and was later released with a citation.

She is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court on May 13, 2026, at 12:30 PM to address the charge of driving under the influence, second offense. Police say that all charges are allegations, and the court date may be subject to change as the case progresses.
