Vermont State Police say a traffic stop on Interstate 91 in Newbury early on April 4 led to the arrest of a 46-year-old Bradford resident, Jamie Pierson, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

According to police reports, troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were conducting routine patrols when they observed a motor vehicle violation. Upon stopping Pierson’s vehicle, officers detected signs of impairment. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Bradford Outpost for processing. Pierson was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division.
