Vermont State Police say a traffic stop on Interstate 91 in Newbury early on April 4 led to the arrest of a 46-year-old Bradford resident, Jamie Pierson, on suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to police reports, troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were conducting routine patrols when they observed a motor vehicle violation. Upon stopping Pierson’s vehicle, officers detected signs of impairment. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Bradford Outpost for processing. Pierson was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division.
Pierson is scheduled to appear in court on April 22 at 8:30 a.m. The charges against him remain allegations at this stage, and details such as court dates and charges may change as the case progresses. Police encourage contacting the criminal court clerk for confirmation of the arraignment time.
