According to police reports, a 70-year-old woman from Newbury, Vermont, was arrested for driving under the influence following an incident in Bradford. Vermont State Police say Julie Johnston was involved in a collision with a parked vehicle on Meadow Lane around 12:58 p.m. on March 28, 2026.

Upon arrival, troopers observed signs of impairment while speaking with Johnston. She was subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Bradford Outpost for processing. Following her arrest, Johnston received a citation to appear in court and was released.

Johnston is scheduled to appear in the Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division on April 15, 2026. The charges against her are allegations at this stage, and court dates and charges may change as the case progresses.
