According to police reports, a traffic stop on School Street in Randolph on March 17 led to the arrest of a 40-year-old woman, Amanda J. Gilman, for multiple offenses. Vermont State Police say Gilman, a resident of Braintree, was found to have an active extraditable warrant from New Hampshire for a probation violation related to a drug possession case.

During the stop, police discovered Gilman also had an in-state arrest warrant for operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license. According to the report, she initially provided a false identity to the officers. After her arrest, Gilman was processed at the Royalton Barracks and subsequently lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility. She is being held on a $15,000 bail.

Gilman faces charges of being a fugitive from justice, having an in-state arrest warrant, and providing false information to law enforcement. Her arraignment is scheduled for March 18 at 12:30 p.m. in Orange Superior Court, Criminal Division.
