Vermont State Police say a series of vehicle break-ins occurred on December 22, 2025, in the vicinity of Union Street and High Street in Waterbury. Reports include the theft of a grey 2012 Toyota Tacoma, which features noticeable rust, dents, and beach access stickers on its tailgate, bearing the license plate VT Trk 309A478. Additionally, several vehicles were rummaged through, with various personal items reported missing.
According to police, during the investigation, authorities discovered that a financial card taken from one of the vehicles was used at a gas station in South Burlington. Surveillance footage has captured a male suspect using the card, and police are seeking assistance from the public to identify him for questioning regarding these incidents.
