The crash involved a 2024 Toyota Tacoma operated by 56-year-old Joseph L. Jackson of Florence and a 2026 GMC Sierra driven by 47-year-old John D. Testa III of West Rutland.

According to police, Jackson was traveling west on Business Route 4 when he attempted to make a left turn into the Sunoco station at an unsafe moment, resulting in a collision with Testa’s vehicle, which was heading east. The Tacoma sustained significant front-end damage, while the Sierra experienced substantial damage to its rear passenger side. Testa reported minor injuries but declined hospital treatment. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
