According to police reports, 18-year-old Isabella Thurber, a Woodford resident, was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 eastbound when she lost control on a slick section of the road. Her vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with a 2021 Jeep Gladiator driven by 35-year-old Ryan Astley from Spofford, New Hampshire. Both vehicles were reported as totaled. Astley was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for evaluation of his injuries, while Thurber did not require medical attention.

Emergency services, including the Bennington Rural Fire Department and Bennington Rescue Squad, assisted at the scene. No civil violations have been lodged at this time.
