Three-car crash on Cabot Road in Marshfield leads to injuries, police say

A three-car crash on Cabot Road in Marshfield resulted in suspected injuries for two drivers, according to police. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.

According to police reports, a three-vehicle crash occurred on Cabot Road in Marshfield on December 8, 2025, around 12:11 p.m. The incident involved a snowplow and two other vehicles, resulting in injuries to two drivers.

Police say that Harry Dailey, 59, was operating a 2023 Western Star snowplow when he stopped to turn around at the Marshfield-Cabot town line. While waiting for oncoming traffic, Douglas Gill, 60, driving a 2017 Ford F-150, collided with the rear of the snowplow. His vehicle then struck an 85-year-old driver, Carol Baker, who was operating a 2014 Honda CRV. Gill and Dailey were both transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for treatment of suspected injuries, while Baker did not report any injuries.

According to the report, the crash caused significant damage to Gill’s vehicle and major damage to the driver’s side of Baker’s vehicle. Emergency Medical Services screened all drivers at the scene. The roadway was cleared, and involved vehicles were towed by local services.

As this investigation progresses, charges may be filed, and any legal proceedings will be subject to change.
