Vermont State Police say a former victim’s advocate and current law enforcement officer has been arrested in connection with allegations of sexual exploitation. Anthony Jackson-Miller, 39, a resident of Stanstead, Quebec, was taken into custody on February 19, 2026, following a police investigation that began after a report in May 2025.
According to police, Jackson-Miller is accused of using his position to exploit a female crime victim whose case was being prosecuted by the Caledonia County State’s Attorney’s Office. The investigation revealed that he initiated a sexual relationship with the victim while serving as her advocate. Additionally, police allege he attempted to obstruct justice after the relationship ended. At the time of the incidents, he was employed as an officer with the Swanton Village Police Department and the Caledonia County Sheriff’s Department.
Jackson-Miller faces charges of sexual exploitation of a crime victim by a law enforcement officer and attempting to obstruct justice. He is scheduled for arraignment in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in St. Johnsbury, with proceedings expected at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
