According to police reports, a 60-year-old man from Castleton was arrested following a single-vehicle crash on Cold River Road in Shrewsbury on December 10, 2025. Vermont State Police say they responded to the incident around 6:28 PM and noted signs of drug impairment in the driver, identified as John Vandetti.

Vandetti was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and impeding public officers. He was subsequently released on a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court, Criminal Division, for his arraignment.

The next court appearance is scheduled for February 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
