Vermont State Police say a two-vehicle collision occurred on Bristol Road in Monkton on January 17 at approximately 5:35 PM, resulting in multiple injuries. According to reports, a 2025 GMC Yukon XL, driven by 35-year-old Chao Xu from McLean, Virginia, lost control on the snow-covered road, crossed the centerline, and collided with a southbound 2017 Toyota Tacoma operated by 53-year-old Christopher Glaski of Bennington.

The impact caused significant front-end damage to both vehicles, and airbag deployment was recorded in both. Xu and all passengers in the Yukon sustained minor injuries, while Glaski and one passenger from the Tacoma suffered moderate injuries. Additionally, two passengers in Glaski’s vehicle sustained serious injuries and were transported to the UVM Medical Center for treatment.

Emergency services from Middlebury, Bristol, and Monkton assisted at the scene. According to police, the investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending. Further court action and details may change as the case progresses.
