Plainfield man cited for home improvement fraud, police say

On November 30, 2025, law enforcement received a complaint stating that Vieux had paid Reeder approximately $9,000 for a renovation project. However, the work was not completed, and Reeder did not refund the money.

Following the investigation, Reeder was issued a citation on January 3, 2026, requiring him to appear in court. He is charged with home improvement fraud, according to police. The case is set to be heard at the Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on January 29, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
