Vermont State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on February 26, 2026, at approximately 3:53 PM on US Route 7 in Pittsford. The crash involved a 59-year-old Leicester resident, Dean Newton, and a 26-year-old Brandon resident, Alexa Moyer.
According to police, Newton was driving a 2019 RAM 1500 southbound when he attempted to pass Moyer’s 2011 Toyota Camry, which was also traveling south and had stopped to make a left turn into a driveway. The collision resulted in minor damage to Newton’s vehicle and significant damage to the front left tire of Moyer’s car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and both vehicles were able to safely move off the roadway.
