Vermont State Police say Trooper Zachary Trocki observed Ethan Betit, a resident of Whitingham, driving at 90 mph in a zone where the speed limit is set at 50 mph.

The incident occurred around 7:21 PM when the trooper utilized RADAR to confirm Betit’s speed. Following the stop, Betit was issued a traffic ticket for the violation. He has been charged with excessive speed and is required to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on February 10, 2026, at 8:30 AM.
