Newbury police seek information on hit-and-run incident, police say

In Newbury, police say a vehicle struck the Newbury Veterinary Clinic’s sign between November 29-30, leading to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

Vermont State Police say a vehicle struck the sign of the Newbury Veterinary Clinic sometime between late November 29 and the morning of November 30, 2025, and the driver left the scene. The incident was reported to police on December 2 around 9:35 a.m.

According to the report, troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the scene and discovered that the business sign had sustained significant damage. The driver did not stop to provide assistance or report the accident, which is required by Vermont law.
