Vermont State Police say a traffic stop in New Haven on January 18, 2026, led to the arrest of a 30-year-old man for driving under the influence. The incident occurred around 8:31 PM on US Route 7 near the intersection with S Middlebrook Road, where officers observed several motor vehicle violations.

According to police reports, Nicolas L. Garcia of Marshfield was identified as the driver during the stop. While speaking with him, officers noted signs of impairment, prompting his arrest on suspicion of DUI. Following processing at the New Haven Barracks, Garcia was released with a citation.

Garcia is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on March 16, 2026, at 12:30 PM.
