Vermont State Police say a traffic incident on January 14, 2026, on US Route 5 near Cooks Road in Irasburg led to the arrest of a 25-year-old resident of Newport, Christian Poulin. Police reports indicate that a vehicle was found off the roadway, and Poulin exhibited signs of impairment.
