Vermont State Police say a 20-year-old man was arrested for simple assault following an incident early on December 15, 2025, in Danby. Police responded to a report of an assault at 1566 US Route 7, where they discovered that Nathan Choiniere had allegedly caused bodily harm to Kevin Parker, 43, of Middletown Springs.
According to police reports, Choiniere was apprehended in Rutland Town and subsequently processed at the Rutland Barracks. After processing, he was released with a citation requiring him to appear in court. The incident remains under investigation as authorities gather more information.
