According to police reports, a domestic incident in Cavendish early on January 3 led to the arrest of 29-year-old Austin Masko. The Vermont State Police responded to a call at approximately 4:57 AM on Depot Street, where they discovered that Masko had allegedly caused physical pain to a partner and restricted their movement.

Following the investigation, police say Masko was taken to the Westminster Barracks for processing. He has been charged with domestic assault and unlawful restraint. Masko is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on January 5 at 12:30 PM.
