Vermont State Police say a traffic stop on Vermont Route 116 in Bristol led to the arrest of a 41-year-old woman suspected of driving under the influence on January 11, 2026. Officers were alerted to a vehicle operating erratically on Silver Street and subsequently located the car near the intersection of River Road.

According to police, the driver, identified as Stephanie Rotax of Ripton, exhibited signs of impairment during the interaction with officers. She was arrested and taken to the New Haven Barracks for processing. Following this, Rotax was released with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on January 26, 2026, at 12:30 PM.

The charges against Rotax are currently allegations, and the court date may be subject to change. Those involved are encouraged to confirm the arraignment time with the criminal court clerk.
