Bristol police seek information on hit-and-run crash, police say

In Bristol, Vermont, police say a driver fled the scene after causing a two-vehicle crash on VT Route 116. No injuries were reported.

Vermont State Police say a two-vehicle collision occurred early on February 11 in Bristol, resulting in one vehicle fleeing the scene. The accident took place around 6:27 a.m. at the intersection of Vermont Route 116 and Cobble Road, according to police reports.

An unknown driver operating a GMC Sierra was traveling north when they allegedly ran another vehicle off the road. The second vehicle, also a GMC Sierra, was driven by 24-year-old Andrew Robinson from Castleton, Vermont, who was heading south. Robinson’s vehicle sustained significant damage and was deemed totaled, but he reported no injuries and refused medical assistance at the scene. The driver of the first vehicle left before authorities arrived.

Police are seeking information about the incident and encourage anyone with details to contact the New Haven Barracks at (802) 388-4919. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending as authorities work to identify the driver of the fleeing vehicle.
