Bridgewater man cited for DUI after crashing into guardrail, police say

In Bridgewater, VT, Jonah Harvey, 29, was charged with DUI after crashing into a guardrail on US Route 4, according to police. He suffered minor injuries.

According to police reports, a single-vehicle crash occurred on December 29, 2025, at approximately 6:38 PM at the intersection of US Route 4 and VT Route 100 in Bridgewater. The driver, 29-year-old Jonah Harvey from Woodstock, was involved in the incident while displaying signs of impairment, according to police.

Harvey reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign, resulting in his 2018 Nissan Sentra colliding with a guardrail. He sustained minor injuries and was subsequently taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center for treatment. Following the investigation, police say Harvey was issued a criminal citation for Driving Under the Influence.

Harvey is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on February 17, 2026, at 8:30 AM. The charges against him are allegations at this stage, and the court date may change as the case progresses.
