According to police reports, a two-vehicle crash on VT Route 22A in Benson on February 11, 2026, resulted in multiple injuries. At approximately 8:11 a.m., Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to the incident involving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, driven by 34-year-old Kasey Fredette of Rutland, and a 2014 Toyota Tundra, operated by 42-year-old Steven Kekus from Hampton, NY.
Police say Fredette was traveling southbound when she lost control of her vehicle and collided with Kekus, who was heading northbound. The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles. Fredette and her passenger, Alex Fredette, 29, both sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. Kekus and his three passengers, including two juveniles, also experienced minor injuries and were transported for treatment.
