According to police reports, a 42-year-old Barre City woman, Jennifer Copp, was arrested on December 5, 2025, following a search by Vermont State Police. Troopers from the Berlin Barracks assisted their colleagues from St. Johnsbury in locating Copp, who had been reported missing earlier that day.
Police say that the investigation led them to the Budget Inn in Barre City, where Copp was found. At the time of her arrest, she was discovered to have multiple outstanding warrants, including an extraditable warrant from New Hampshire. Following her apprehension, Copp was taken to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
Copp is charged with being a fugitive from justice and will appear in Washington County Court – Criminal Division on December 8, 2025. She is currently held at Chittenden County Correctional Complex with bail set at $15,400.
