Vermont State Police say a 44-year-old man, Leon Forrest, was arrested in Leicester on December 5 after a series of incidents involving a recreational vehicle and a nearby residence. Police responded to reports of a Four Winds RV camper partially blocking 220 Lake Dunmore Road around 7 a.m.

According to the report, upon arrival, officers identified Forrest as the operator of the RV. The investigation revealed that he had driven off the road, fled on foot, and unlawfully entered a nearby home, causing damage to several items inside. Forrest had no legal right to access the property. He was arrested without incident and taken to the New Haven Barracks for processing.

Forrest was arraigned in the Addison County Superior Court and is currently being held at Marble Valley Correctional Facility on a $25,000 bail. He faces charges including burglary, felony unlawful trespass, unlawful mischief, and disorderly conduct. According to police, the court date is set for December 5 at 12:30 p.m., but this may change as the case progresses.
