Vermont State Police say a traffic stop on December 3, 2025, at approximately 10:30 PM led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man suspected of driving under the influence. The incident occurred on Vermont Route 12 near Pinnacle Road in Randolph.

According to police reports, Troopers from the Royalton Barracks initiated the stop after observing violations. Upon further investigation, they detected signs of impairment in the driver, identified as Derek C. Sherman of Randolph. He was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI and taken to the Royalton Barracks for processing. Following this, Sherman was released with a criminal citation.
