According to police reports, a 29-year-old woman from Mendon was arrested early on November 8, 2025, after failing to stop for a traffic violation. Vermont State Police say they attempted to pull over Patricia Alejandra Navarrete Gonzalez on West Street in Rutland City, but she did not comply until her vehicle was finally stopped on US Route 4 near the Agency of Transportation Garage in Mendon.

During the stop, police observed signs of impairment in Navarrete Gonzalez. She was subsequently charged with driving under the influence, attempting to elude law enforcement, and negligent operation of a vehicle. Following her arrest, she was taken to the Rutland Barracks for processing and later released with a citation.
