Vermont State Police say a 51-year-old woman from Rutland City, identified as Sara Vitagliano, has been charged with furnishing alcohol to minors following an incident in Bridgewater. The allegations stem from a complaint received on May 2, 2026, around 10:30 PM regarding loud music and underage drinking at a residence on Mountainside Road.
Upon arrival, police found several impaired juveniles and determined that Vitagliano had facilitated their consumption of alcohol. She was issued a criminal citation on the scene and released. According to police reports, during the incident, a vehicle driven by one of the attendees sped away, nearly colliding with a trooper. The vehicle, described as a silver or gray Subaru Forester, sustained minor front-end damage. Authorities are seeking information on the vehicle’s owner or operator, who may be connected to the Rutland area.
Vitagliano is scheduled to appear in Windsor Criminal Court on July 21, 2026, at 8:30 AM. The charges against her are allegations at this stage, and the court date may change as the case progresses. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the Royalton Barracks at 802-234-9933.
