According to police reports, a traffic stop on Interstate 89 in Colchester led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Burlington resident on April 29, 2026. Troopers from the Vermont State Police observed Jervon T. Montgomery driving at 90 mph in a 65 mph zone around 9:41 PM.

After pulling Montgomery over, officers noted signs of impairment and discovered that his driver’s license was criminally suspended. Following an investigation, he was charged with multiple offenses, including DUI #3, negligent operation, and criminal driving with a suspended license. Montgomery was processed at the Williston Barracks and subsequently released with a citation.

He is scheduled to appear in Chittenden County court on June 11, 2026, at 8:30 AM to respond to the allegations. Police indicate that these charges are merely accusations at this stage, and the court date may be subject to change.
