Vermont State Police say a retail theft incident occurred at Yao’s Deli on South Main Street in Waterbury on April 12, 2026, at about 5 p.m. According to police reports, two individuals allegedly took e-cigarettes and a display case, valued at over $2,000.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks received the complaint the following day and are now seeking assistance from the public to identify one of the suspects. The individual is described as wearing a white sweatshirt with rips at the elbows and a distinctive design on the front. Police are urging anyone with information to contact Trooper Mae Murdock at (802) 229-9191, or submit tips anonymously online.
