Vermont State Police say a 49-year-old woman from Ryegate was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic incident on US Route 302 in Newbury early on April 12, 2026. Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks responded to a report of a motor vehicle complaint shortly after 1:30 a.m. and detected signs of impairment when they spoke with the driver, identified as April Dyke.
According to police, Dyke was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and subsequently transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing. She was released on a citation following her arrest.
Dyke is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court’s Criminal Division on April 29, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. The charges against her are currently allegations, and the court date may be subject to change.
