According to police reports, a two-vehicle collision occurred on April 6, 2026, at approximately 7:42 a.m. on Bristol Road in Monkton. The crash involved a Chevrolet Equinox operated by 34-year-old Adam P. Premo from Bristol, and a Toyota Rav4 driven by 22-year-old Abagail L. Nicholson-Wemette from Middlebury.
Police say Premo was traveling south when he entered the northbound lane, resulting in a collision with Nicholson-Wemette’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage, and both drivers were transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center. Premo is suspected to have sustained moderate injuries, while Nicholson-Wemette is believed to have suffered serious injuries.
