According to police reports, a 39-year-old woman from Peacham, Vermont, was charged with aggravated disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and failure to appear after an incident on April 2, 2026. Vermont State Police say they responded to a report of ongoing harassment involving Matilda Adelaide, who had allegedly been troubling victims Annette Lorraine, 65, and Richard Scholes, 80, for over a month.

Upon arrival, officers located Adelaide, who reportedly resisted arrest during the encounter. She was subsequently taken to the Vermont State Police Barracks for processing. Authorities also noted that Adelaide had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in court previously.
