According to police reports, a 21-year-old man from Starksboro, Vermont, was arrested early on March 28, 2026, for allegedly driving the wrong way on Interstate 89. Vermont State Police responded to reports of a northbound vehicle in the southbound lanes near mile marker 51.8 in Berlin. The suspect, identified as Nolan Valkyrie, was safely stopped around mile marker 56 in Middlesex.

Valkyrie was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing. He faces charges of gross negligent operation and driving under the influence. Following his arrest, he received a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on June 25, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
