Arlington man processed for DUI after single-vehicle crash, police say

Vermont State Police say a single-vehicle crash on VT Route 7A in Arlington occurred on March 23, 2026, around 9:19 PM. The incident involved a 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by 28-year-old Alberto L. Leonguiracocha of Sunderland, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

According to police, the vehicle left the roadway and overturned, sustaining significant damage. Minor injuries were reported, and Leonguiracocha was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for evaluation. During the investigation, he was processed for suspected driving under the influence (DUI), and an evidentiary blood draw was conducted.
