According to police reports, a 28-year-old man from Orwell, Vermont, was arrested for driving under the influence following a fatal crash investigation on March 15, 2026. Vermont State Police say the incident occurred at approximately 7:43 PM on Old Sawmill Road near Vail Road.
During the investigation, officers interacted with Paxton Taube and observed signs of impairment, leading them to determine he had driven on a public roadway before arriving at the scene. Taube was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.
