Vermont State Police say a single-vehicle crash occurred on March 6 at approximately 2:33 PM on US Route 7 near the intersection with VT Route 17 in New Haven. The driver, 48-year-old Scott Hirschberg of Cornwall, reported that he lost control of his 2022 Dodge RAM 1500 after another vehicle suddenly slowed in front of him.
According to the report, Hirschberg’s vehicle veered off the road, crossed over a snowbank, and came to a stop on the train tracks. The truck suffered extensive front-end damage and was subsequently towed by Middstate Towing. Fortunately, Hirschberg reported no injuries from the incident.
As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing. Court actions are pending, and the legal status may change as additional details emerge.
