According to police reports, two Rutland residents were arrested early on March 2, 2026, following a response to excessive noise at a residence on Curtis Avenue. Vermont State Police were called to assist the Rutland City Police Department after multiple complaints about loud music from the home.
Police say when troopers arrived, the occupants refused to answer the door and increased the volume of their music. After exiting the residence, Jenna Thompson, 24, allegedly resisted arrest and assaulted officers by kicking and punching them. John Pandiani, 53, is accused of impeding Thompson’s arrest during the incident. Both individuals were taken to the Rutland City Police Department for processing, where Thompson continued to exhibit aggressive behavior.
Thompson has been charged with Noise in the Nighttime, Resisting Arrest, and Assault on a Protected Professional. Pandiani faces charges of Noise in the Nighttime and Impeding Public Officers. Each has been placed on a $500 bail and is currently held at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
Their arraignment is scheduled for March 2, 2026, at 12:30 PM in Vermont Superior Court’s Rutland Criminal Division. Charges remain allegations as the case progresses, and court dates may be subject to change.
